Episode 007: XBox One

On this episode of Internet Dragons TV, the boys and I tackle Microsoft’s press conference for their brand new console, the XBox One. This episode was recorded a few hours after the announcements, and so if any news has changed or been clarified since then, please don’t hate. The conference as a whole was a confusing clusterfuck with conflicting information released before and after it was done.

We’re still piecing together all that we can, however as it stands, none of us are impressed.

On this episode, Vince, Joe and I recap the Playstation Meeting 2013. We give our thoughts on the PS4 as well as the rest of the event’s announcements.

Episode 003: Desperate Gods

For this episode, Vince thought it’d be fun to try something different. He’d found an online board game and thought we should give it a shot. Suffice it to say, we actually had a lot of fun with it. Considering how quickly the game was released, it actually ran smooth as hell.

In between plays, we also touched on some other games.

I’ll be surprised if anyone makes it to the end of the video, however the point was to promote this great, moddable board game.

(Please note that Vince recorded the video for this game on lower settings. At 1080p, maxed settings, I actually found this game looks fantastic.)

Episode 002: Dishonored

There were quite a few stellar games last year, which really stood out. We discussed many at length on For The Lore. Basically, despite the massive disappointments of the year (I’m looking at both of you, Diablo III and Mass Effect 3), there were so many titles which were truly inspiring.

One of the best of last year was Dishonored, developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda. The game borrows heavily from similar tales, however it presents its take on it in a clever new fashion. It’s incredibly polished, tight and just plain fun to play.

If you haven’t played it yet, know that Vince and I don’t hold back on the spoilers. We strongly encourage everyone to check out this game. It is well worth the money and time investment.

I believe a best way to validate that statement is to say, as Vince explained during the vidcast, that this game still haunts us. A simple song, overheard in passing, is enough to yank us back into Dunwall.

It was fun discussing this game with Vince, as we don’t always play the same or make the same choices. We each had some different experiences in the game, especially Vince as he played through both the low and high chaos routes. I stuck to the ultra-high chaos gameplay… which equated to kill all the (bad) things.

Unfortunately, Joe was not able to join us for this episode, but he will be around for the next.

Episode 001: The Walking Dead Special

If you’re new to the site and haven’t yet checked out our prior podcast, well, shame on you. Seeing as a new game is one you haven’t played yet, I strongly urge everyone to dig through those old archives. You’ll be surprised at the sheer wealth of games we discussed.

However if all you care about is what’s shiny and new, well here it is. Internet Dragons TV Episode 001. The episode is available as both a vidcast (see above and make certain to subscribe to our YouTube channel please), as well as an audio-only podcast (see below for direct link; iTunes and Stitcher links pending).

For our first episode, I wanted to tackle a game of importance, and to be blunt, few fit that bill as entirely as The Walking Dead for this year. The game held us hostage, unable to complete each episode in more than one sitting. It was emotionally crippling at times, drawing tears from the toughest sons of bitches who had to put a bullet through a child in an attic or watch Clementine walk away from us as we closed our eyes for the last time.

Game of the Year is not an appropriate enough award for this game. It’s simply not enough to describe the emotional upheaval and drain on our collective souls.

So join Vince, Joe and myself as we discuss the entirety of this first season. We made some different choices along the way which lead to some interesting reveals for each of us.
